Coral Gables "The City Beautiful,"and in deed a very beautiful city. It was developed by George Merrick during the 1920's.I guess Mr. Merrick was a "Genious"
The Venetian Pool a US. public swimming pool was designed by architect Phineas Paist over an old coral rock quarry, and completed in 1924. It is a magical place very very beautiful, and any one come to Miami for a visit
make sure to go and see the Venetian Pool. Early morning is the most magical time.

I did in 1960 and lived in New York with my husband Charlie Raker who encouraged me always to do what I liked. All my life I would be drawing or painting, but since I had no formal art education, my style was "Naive". I would tell stories on canvas. We moved permanently to Florida in 1964. Over the next few years I took up interior design and had an antique shop in Fort Lauderdale, but even so I would always go back to drawing and painting. In 1974 Mr. Artel a French art dealer from Las Olas Blvd. in Ft. Lauderdale saw my paintings and ask if I wanted to exhibit them in...
